This feature supports emitting particles from object components, such as verts, edges, faces, or volume of your model. You can now use 3D models and animated OBJ sequences as particle emitters. Particular also adds the ability to have OBJ’s as emitters. With the latest release, for the first time ever, you can have multiple particle systems that share parameter settings that count, like gravity, turbulence and more. “The designer gives instant visual feedback, making the building and previewing of effects an intuitive and creative experience” Red Giant notes. You can even add complete effects with a single click. You can now add adjustable blocks with preset behaviors, styles, emitters and particles. RG says: “Depending on your system and setup, you could see speed boosts of up to 4X or more over previous versions.” This means you should be able to get much faster feedback through OpenGL. Trapcode Particular sees the most of new features out of the bunch, likely because it needs new features most while also being the most used. Still, adding some new features to Particular and Form can still constitute as a huge update for some users. The rest of the 8 effects in the suite appear untouched. RG displays the suite as Trapcode Suite 14, however in reality only Trapcode Particular, Trapcode Form are new versions, while Trapcode TAO sees a minor update. It’s nice to finally see some movement on getting some of the tools in the suite up to modern-day standards.
